Road trip/Car rental advice: Tucson to Las Vegas?

Hi all! Next month when I'm in AZ, I'll be driving from Tucson to Las Vegas with my dad for 2-3 days, to visit Oatman along the way, and I'm not sure what car rental class type/category would be best. Last year, I did that trip myself(TUS>Lake Havasu>Oatman>Laughlin>Vegas) in a little Toyota corolla rental😂...never again! It wasn't bad, except for some roads that were rocky and I felt I couldnt truly explore.

Also, any recommended stops? Oatman is becoming a yearly mandatory requirement for me😂 🫏
