June trip - Jamaica or DR

Hi everyone :)

Just looking for any advice or suggestions- me and my boyfriend are looking to go on our first holiday together in June. The locations we’ve narrowed it down to are Jamaica & Dominican Republic.

We’d be going for 7 days and interested in a few light fun activities maybe like cliff dives and seeing waterfalls that kind of thing but mainly relaxation & a romantic setting

He enjoys seeing the local towns too and authenticity

If anyone has any recommendations they would be much appreciated, I’m quite stuck between the 2 options! Thank you!!
