Moving to Spain this year

Hello! Greetings to the community.

I'm a 25-year-old Portuguese man living in Latin America, I'm planning to move to Spain with my girlfriend this year. Some friends moved to Málaga last year and highly recommend it because of its climate, culture, Andalusian warmth, job opportunities, and, of course, because they're already there and it would be easier to adapt to a new country. But after looking into it further, I've started to have some doubts, especially about the high cost of living there compared to other cities. This is quite significant for me because I'd be going with a budget of around €5200, which will surely disappear quickly with rent, deposits, utilities, and food.

I've been researching other options and found about Zaragoza and Murcia to be good places to start exploring Spain on a budget; what appeals to me most is Zaragoza because of its location and the fact that it's more affordable than Málaga. However, the only downside I see is the weather; I haven't experienced real cold yet, and I hope that doesn't break our spirits 😂. As for job opportunities, I'm not sure if I'll easily find something that matches our working experience (I worked for four years as a Recording and Post-Production Technician at a radio station and have been managing a hardware store in my city for three years; my girlfriend worked for five years as an administrative assistant and has also been working with me for three years as the business's administrative manager).

Anyway, the most important thing for us when we arrive is that our budget covers all our necessary expenses, that we can save money without problems once we find a job, and that we can adapt and feel comfortable in this new place. We want to discover the beauty of Spain

Your opinions are invaluable, thank you!
