Oman Air + Lufthansa connection ( Luggage transfer and missed connection risk )

Hey everyone, looking for some clarity and real-world experiences on my upcoming itinerary.

I have a single ticket issued by Oman Air from Kochi to Vilnius with these flights:

• WY 0226 — Kochi → Muscat: 8:30 AM – 10:40 AM

• WY 0117 — Muscat → Frankfurt: 1:20 PM – 6:15 PM

• LH 0898 — Frankfurt → Vilnius: 8:50 PM – 11:55 PM

Layovers:

• Muscat: \\\~2h 40m

• Frankfurt: \\\~2h 35m

PNR situation:

• Oman Air PNR shows full itinerary (COK–MCT–FRA–VNO)

• Lufthansa PNR shows MCT–FRA and FRA–VNO

Concern:

I’ve been tracking WY 0117 (MCT → FRA) for the past week and it seems to be delayed by \~1 hour almost daily, which is making me a bit nervous about the Frankfurt connection.

If anyone is aware of the rules or has booked a similar flight could you please answer :

  1. Since this is a single ticket, will baggage be checked through all the way to Vilnius automatically? I am worried since there are two PNRs shown

, despite the first PNR having full journey.

  1. At Frankfurt, if I realize I might miss (or have missed) the connection, which counter/desk should I go to?

• Oman Air transfer desk ( do they have one ) ?

• Lufthansa transfer/service desk?

  1. Is \\\~2h 35m at Frankfurt generally safe for Schengen entry + transfer, assuming minor delays?

  2. Anything specific I should confirm at Kochi check-in to avoid issues later?

TL;DR:

Single-ticket Oman Air booking (last leg Lufthansa). Seeing consistent \~1h delay on MCT → FRA flight.

• Will baggage go through to VNO?

• Who handles missed connections?

• Which desk to approach at Frankfurt if things go wrong?

• Is 2h 35m enough at FRA?

Appreciate any insights!
